
Dynastic Orders

The Royal House of Bagration of Georgia is an ancient Royal House with established dynastic rights and recognition of such.
As part of its patrimony and dynastic rights, the Royal House of Bagration through the current Head of the Bagration Dynasty bestows its Dynastic Orders on deserving individuals, who have contributed through their acts of merits towards the Royal House of Bagration and society at large.
Such acts are done occasionally, when the situation warrants a need to reward and recognise certain deserving individuals.

The Ranks in the Royal Georgian Orders are as the following:-
The order is bestowed personally by the current Grandmaster of the Order and Head of the Bagration Dynasty, Prince David de Bagration of Moukhrani.
This is a continuation of the bestowal of the order by HRH Prince George de Bagration of Moukhrani.
Previously, the grandfather of the current Grand Master of the Order and Head of the Bagration Dynasty, HRH Prince Irakly Bagration as the Head of the Royal House of Bagration had granted the Georgian Orders to the following Royals:-

HRH Prince George de Bagration had previously granted the Grand Collars of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia and Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ had been granted to the Royal Princes of Georgia, HRH Prince Irakly Bagration, HRH Prince David Bagration and HRH Prince Ugo Bagration.

They had also been awarded to HM King Kigeli V of
The Government of Georgia recognised the position and rights of HRH Prince Jorge Bagration as the Head of the Royal House of Georgia and as the Crown Prince of Georgia. This formal recognition puts the Royal House of Bagration in a unique position amongst the former ruling houses.
The Order was accepted by the Georgian authorities as being part of the patrimony of HRH Jorge Bagration as the Head of the Royal House of Bagration of Georgia. As such, there are no objections in the Order being awarded to Georgians and are allowed to be worn by the receipents in public and government functions.
The Order is governed by a Magistral Consul that assists the Grand Master of the Order and Head of the Bagration Dynasty.
